The population of Black Americans is diverse. Roughly 46 million people in the U.S. self-identified as Black or African American, either solely or as part of a multiracial or multiethnic background.
Puerto Ricans are the largest group in the Orlando, Florida, metro area, while Salvadorans are the largest in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Cubans are the largest origin group in the Miami metro area.
Six origin groups – Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese – accounted for 85% of all Asian Americans as of 2015. The remaining 13 origin groups each made up 2% or less of the nation’s Asian population.

The U.S. Hispanic population is projected to increase by 86% between 2015 and 2050, and it is estimated to reach $1.5 trillion in buying power in 2015, a 50% increase from 2010.
